Emotron will participate in an event in the Swedish pavilion at the world exhibition in Shanghai. During two days a number of invited guests will listen to presentations about sustainable urban development and environmental technology. Emotron will speak about energy savings through efficient motor control in, for example, pump and fan systems.
Vinterteknik is a Swedish company developing snow cannon and irrigation systems. They use Emotron variable speed drives for controlling the pumps included in their solutions, in order to offer smooth operation and reduced energy costs. In this case, the long distance and the difficult terrain between the control station and pumping station offered a challenge. The solution was remote control of the variable speed drives over the Internet.

Direct torque control for efficiency and accuracy
The Emotron direct torque control is a superior technique for machines requiring accurate control of speed and torque. The figures speak for themselves: data updated 40,000 times a second, 400 per cent of nominal motor torque at 0 rpm, torque response faster than 1 ms and a speed accuracy of ±0.1% of rated rpm. In many cases this is even achieved without a separate speed sensor.
